What we shipped

Key outcomes

  • Migrated to Pantheon — stable, repeatable deploys
  • Custom LibCal API integration: live room and event schedules, no manual updates
  • Drupal 11 support across 2025–2026 — improvements, fixes, performance

Tulane University's library platform runs on Drupal 11. Across 2025 and 2026, we ran its engineering, improvements, bug fixes, and performance work, and handled two larger pieces: a hosting migration and a real-time scheduling integration.

First, the platform moved to Pantheon, so deploys became stable and repeatable instead of a source of risk. Then we built a custom module that pulled LibCal data over HTTP (Guzzle) and rendered live room availability and event schedules through Twig templates, data that updated itself rather than being copied in by hand. The work spanned the full stack: the integration module and back-office behaviour on one side, theme and front-end on the other.

By the end of the engagement, the site had a deploy pipeline its team could trust and live data where there used to be stale copy.
