What we shipped

Key outcomes

  • New landing pages and product sections on a Contentful-headless brand site; recipe-section improvements
  • Custom dynamic-fill scroll-up component — scroll progress visualised on the button background
  • Data via GraphQL on Contentful, rendered through Gatsby with TypeScript + styled-components

Alpro's public platform runs headless — Contentful as the CMS, Gatsby as the front end. Our slice of the build was the React layer: new landing pages, new product sections, improvements to the recipe section, and ongoing front-end support across the consumer site. TypeScript across components, styled-components carrying the design system, and GraphQL queries through Contentful for the content.

One concrete component from the engagement: a custom scroll-up button whose background fill visualises page-scroll progress — a thin brand-coloured ring fills proportionally as window.scrollY moves against document.documentElement.scrollHeight. Small detail, but it's the kind of client-side work a statically-built Gatsby site has to compute on every interaction, and it reads as design polish rather than a generic UX widget.
